I'm a freelance copyeditor and proofreader with over fifteen years of publishing experience. I have copyedited and proofread hundreds of manuscripts for various publishing houses, including Entangled Publishing, Lucid Books, and Spencer Hill Press, as well as independent authors. While at Spencer Hill Press, I also supervised the copyediting/proofreading intern program.
I consider myself a grammar geek and am obsessive about grammar, spelling, punctuation, and correct word usage. I edit to Chicago Style, and I will explain any of my changes via Track Changes in Word format.
I also encourage working relationships with my clients. The more you work with your editor/proofreader, the more your voice and style will shine through your work.
Remember, if something is confusing to me, it will be hard for your potential reader. My goal is to help authors strengthen their books. Why? I love stories. Plain and simple, and I want my writers to be as successful as possible. Every negative review an author receives is a direct reflection on me. Let's work together!
